In early 2010, JAB decided to implement a B2C online store with Sycor GmbH.

An efficient, user-friendly shop solution was implemented using Web 2.0 technologies and the latest approaches to search engine optimization.

In addition, the layout of the online store was developed in accordance with JAB's corporate identity and the exclusive requirements of the target group. Sycor was in charge of implementing both the design proposal and the layout.

Thanks to Web 2.0 tools such as the image slider on the home page, the image zoom feature on the product details page, and social bookmarking, users can learn about products easily and intuitively and recommend them to friends through a range of social networks.

One outstanding feature is URL optimization for search engines and users. Short URLs have replaced the usual long and unreadable URLs. As a result, catalog products can be bookmarked and also accessed separately via search engines. A 360 degree view of items rounds off the solution.

Thanks to eTracker®, a web analytics tool, JAB can obtain precise information on the activities of online store users. As a result, the online store can be further optimized based on new information on user behavior. Another challenge was the tight implementation schedule of only eight weeks from kick-off to rollout.
