Sycor records slight growth in sales in 2009 financial year
Despite the difficult economic environment of 2009, the Goettingen-based full-service provider increased its revenues last year and defined important new directions for the future.
(Goettingen, Germany). "Compared to 2008, we increased our turnover by 3 percent to 35
million euro this year. But our profits fell short of last year's levels," says Dr. Marko Weinrich,
CEO of SYCOR GmbH, pleased with the results of the 2009 fiscal year. Weinrich was happy to announce
that the company increased employee numbers in Germany and throughout the Group: "We not only
retained our current staff, we also recruited many new and highly qualified employees. However, we
lost employees at our international subsidiaries."
The year 2009 was also marked by new directions for the future in areas other than Human
Resources. By acquiring Hamburg-based Aixonix SI GmbH , Sycor gained a new location in Hamburg and
enhanced its position as one of the largest service providers for Microsoft Dynamics AX, and ERP
software solution. The company also advanced its strategic development in the area of Enterprise
Content Management (ECM) and archiving by intensifying its collaboration with IBM Deutschland GmbH
and establishing a cooperation with EASY SOFTWARE AG in October.
Weinrich is setting clear priorities for 2010. Following last year's approach, the company will
not focus primarily on sales volume. "Continuity and reliability in our relationships with our
customers and our employees have the highest priority for us," he says. According to Weinrich,
Sycor will in 2010 once again aim to provide customers with the whole range of SAP® ERP and
Microsoft Dynamics AX services in addition to management and strategy consulting. The company also
develops and operations solutions for the areas of telecommunications, archiving and document
management, e-business, IT outsourcing and networks. "To continue offering our customers tailored,
quality-assured solutions, we aim to keep all our staff on board and systematically strengthen our
team even further," says Dr. Marko Weinrich, setting the company's course for the future.
