“I joined Sycor in
March 2004, when I began a semester-long internship while studying media information technology at
the Wolfenbüttel University of Applied Sciences. My very first impressions of the company and the
development department were very positive. Right from the start, I was given appropriate and
challenging tasks that I could perform on my own. Sycor gave me a lot of personal freedom. When
problems arose, there was always someone I could contact. When the internship was over in August,
Sycor asked me to continue working for the company alongside my studies. I had really enjoyed the
work and liked my coworkers, so I accepted the offer. Thanks to my flexible working hours, I was
able to find a perfect balance between school and work and even partially finance my studies at the
same time. In July 2005, I started working on my graduate thesis. My thesis advisor was Patrick
Hey, Head of Development at Sycor. After graduation I was hired full time at Sycor. Since then I
have mainly focused on online store solutions based on
SAP E-Commerce (formerly SAP ISA). Working on
projects is just a lot of fun for me, especially because I have such nice coworkers and receive
such interesting assignments.”
