The Sycor data center is the platform for a secure operation of systems and networks. We deploy the most advanced technologies in the areas that are relevant to the operation of data centers - power supply, air-conditioning, incipient fire detection, access checks and monitoring, thus enabling your company processes to be secure and highly available.

Perimeter protection

The data center has a high-quality perimeter protection, including the option of using ABC bunkers. The data centers that are independent of each other are located in different fire protection areas and have a redundant path layout.

Power supply

A continuous power supply is maintained for data centers via several independent lines. Two direct connections to the 20 kV network of the regional power supplier and the respective redundant USV systems for each connection ensure a 99.99978% availability of power supply to all systems.

Air conditioning

A constant temperature and humidity ensures not only a smooth operation of the systems, but also increases the life span of all components. The number of hardware failures can thus be reduced.

Independent facilities and monitoring systems with automatic alarms ensure an interruption-free activity.

Connection carrier

The SYCOR GmbH works together with various carriers for data transmission. For this, redundant fiber glass connections have been installed in various building areas. These connections are used for accessing the Internet and Sycor MPLS network worldwide as well as for voice communication.

Monitoring data centers and reporting

The Sycor data center is monitored 24/7 on the basis of several parameters. Emphasis is laid on the following parameters:

• Incipient fire detection:
  An automatic system checks the environmental parameter of the data center round-the-clock. The detectors react to invisible smoke, even the occurrence of smoldering cable fire can be detected.
   
• Access check:
  Unauthorized access to the data processing center through various security zones is impossible. Our monitoring systems include video recordings, motion detectors and door contacts.
   
• Reporting:
  An automatic communication of administrators and the integration of an SLA reporting ensure that the technical personnel as well as the clients have a constant overview of the operation status and process activities.

Documentation

The documentation of all systems and cable runs is supported by modern programs. Access to documentation systems is possible anytime and from any location. This simplifies capacity planning and failures can be remedied faster.

All documentation systems are used for documenting our own systems as well as those of the clients.
